Module 2, Session 1: Care Act & Legal Literacy
This interactive workshop provides a clear, practical introduction to the Care Act 2014, focusing on the statutory duties, principles, and legal responsibilities that underpin adult social care practice. Participants will explore how the Care Act supports person‑centred, strengths‑based and preventative approaches, and how legal frameworks guide ethical decision‑making in integrated settings.
Designed for professionals working across Adult Social Care and health services, the session bridges law and practice, helping attendees confidently apply Care Act principles to assessment, planning, recording, and multi‑agency working. Through discussion and real‑world case examples, participants will strengthen their understanding of legal reasoning and its impact on everyday practice.
Please Note: This session is repeated 28th and 29th April – you only need to attend the session once.
