This session provides a focused legal update for AMHPs, highlighting recent and relevant developments in legislation, case law, and guidance that impact Mental Health Act practice. Through peer‑led discussion, participants are invited to reflect on how these changes are being interpreted in practice, where they support or challenge professional judgement, and how they show up in real‑world decision‑making and recording. The emphasis is on practical implications and shared sense‑making, rather than technical legal instruction.
